Shares of Zoetis Inc (NYSE: ZTS) jumped more than 11 percent Thurday, on a Wall Street Journal report that Valeant Pharmaceuticals Intl Inc (NYSE: VRX) has made a preliminary approach to acquire the animal-health company, according to sources. Zoetis shares gained 2.04 percent to $56.50 in after-hours trading, while Valeant shares fell 0.34 percent to $232.95 in the after-hours trading session.
SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) reported better-than-expected earnings for its fiscal second quarter, but the company's revenue missed analysts' estimates. The company also issued a weak forecast for the current quarter. SYNNEX shares tumbled 8.61 percent to $75.19 in after-hours trading.
